The Message Behind the Mural
Inspired by the South Gate community, and conceived and painted by artist Mr B Baby, this mural celebrates the unique spirit and heritage of the neighborhood. Its vibrant colors and imagery welcome residents, fostering a sense of belonging and pride in their shared space.
In a collaborative effort, this mural is our way of leaving a mark on the community and catching the eyes of friends and neighbors, all while shining a spotlight on the wonderful local businesses. We envisioned turning this mural into a vibrant celebration, a gathering that brings everyone together, creating moments of joy and connection.
When discussing the inspiration and the elements making up the mural, Mr B Baby wanted to make sure the mural was colorful and vibrant, incorporating her signature whimsical Mexican folk art characters to remind viewers of their rich heritage.

Meet The Artist
Mr B Baby
Michelle Guerrero, known as “Mr B Baby,” is our skilled artist who created our South Gate, California mural.
Mr B Baby creatively blends her Hispanic roots with themes of mental well-being, infusing her murals with positivity and thought-provoking images. She often conveys these themes through the characters she creates, as seen in our video.
“I have a couple of other characters, which are inspired by the Lelé dolls from Mexico,” said Mr B Baby. “The background of those dolls is actually they used to put them in baby cribs to ward off negative spirits.”
By blending Mr B Baby’s artistic ideas and Kemper Auto’s goals, we hope to leave a beautiful mark not only for our agency but for the community.

Michelle Guerrero, known as Mr B Baby, is the skilled artist who created the Kemper Auto South Gate, California mural.
Mr B Baby creatively blends her Latina roots with themes of mental well-being, infusing her murals with Mexican folk art with a whimsical twist, creating vibrant and uplifting images. She often conveys these themes through the characters she creates, as seen in our video.
“The little dolls I paint, those are actually referenced by these dolls that they sell in Mexico called Lelé dolls. For people of Mexican decent, when they see those dolls, it brings them back home and that’s my purpose for creating these types of pieces to create a sense of belonging and the sense of ownership for these pieces.”
